Who can register a .NC domain name?

Registering a .NC domain name is subject to the rules of the local registry, Domaine.nc.

The following applicants can request a .NC domain:

  • Legal entities: companies, associations, or other organizations with a registered office or establishment in New Caledonia and identifiable through RIDET/ISEE.
  • Individual professionals: traders or entrepreneurs who live and operate in New Caledonia and are identifiable through RIDET/ISEE.
  • Resident individuals: adults whose main residence has been in New Caledonia for more than 6 months.
  • Non-resident individuals: adults born in New Caledonia only. A birth certificate extract from a New Caledonian municipality may be requested. Photocopies are not accepted.

HOST.NC collects the order payment and then manually regularizes the registration with the local registry when the required conditions are met.
