When registering or transferring a standard domain such as .com, .net, or .org, WHMCS may offer two optional services: DNS Management and Email Forwarding.
DNS Management
DNS Management lets you manage the technical DNS records for the domain: A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and more. It can be used to point a domain to an external website, connect an email service, add Google or Microsoft verification records, or create subdomains.
This option is mostly useful when you buy only the domain name without HOST.NC hosting. If your domain is already linked to a HOST.NC hosting service, DNS is usually managed from the hosting account or its cPanel interface.
Email Forwarding
Email Forwarding sends messages received at an address on your domain to another existing email address. For example, contact@yourdomain.com can forward messages to your current personal or business mailbox.
Email forwarding does not create a full mailbox. It is not a replacement for a professional email account with webmail, IMAP/SMTP, storage, and its own password.
Are these options available for all domains?
These options are available for some standard domains handled automatically by our registrar, including .com, .net, and .org. .NC domains follow a manual review process and do not offer these options automatically in the cart.
If you are unsure which option is right for your case, open a ticket from the client area before completing your order.
